Faith of Graffiti
The human body has been essential to understanding facets of identity such as gender, race, and ethnicity. The adaptation and application of the “Faith of Graffiti” theory. For this piece, I explored and engaged in a ritualistic act of ownership of the self and soul by using the body as a medium. Combining body art, projection media, and performance art, the presence of my soul, mind, and body was exhibited in order to rebel against social conventions. It’s what’s on the inside that creates what’s on the outside.
