A Letter to my Younger Self

A personal visual interpretation of the selected song “A Letter to my Younger Self” by Ambar Lucid. The concept is to feel like a kid again, to look back and reflect on one’s past, to understand and appreciate it as is, with both the good parts and the not-so-good parts. The mood and tone of the interpretation showcases the little things that remind us to not take things so seriously all the time. In order to evoke a feeling of nostalgia, the visual approach was minimal including textures, shapes, and specific life moments. Playing with space, light, and textures, this is an abstract piece that follows the life of a flower. The flower comes from the idea of showcasing nature and how it helps us ground ourselves into our deepest roots.
